Kinesio Tape is something an Osteopath may use at the end of their treatment in a procedure
known as ‘strapping’. It involves the application of stretchy therapeutic tape on a part of the
body to help with a wide variety of injuries. It is similar to the skin in elasticity, so it allows you to wear it without experiencing any restriction of movement. Kinesio Tape tends to be worn for up to five days, so applied at the end of an Osteopathic Treatment is another therapy that can benefit in the way of pain relief and recovery. Kinesio Tape tends to be applied to backs or knees but can be used in many areas of the body.
Kinesio Taping at The Maple Clinic works as a therapy to assist alongside other therapies within your treatment. The osteopath may choose to use this method at the end of the session to enhance the treatment you have already had.
If you would like to book an appointment with one of our osteopaths, you can call the clinic on 01474 850500. You can always ask your osteopath at the initial consultation about Kinesio Tape and whether they think it could benefit you in your treatment.
For a consultation with an Osteopath at The Maple Clinic, the cost is £48 for 45 minutes. Any follow up appointment will be £44 for half an hour.
