After having osteopathic treatment as a child Claire was inspired to become an osteopath. She graduated with a Masters from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and is enthusiastic to help relieve any ailment you may have. She has a particular interest in posture and exercises to aid and maintain treatment when needed.
Claire has qualifications in Sports Massage and western medical acupuncture (dry needling) which she can integrated into treatment where appropriate. She is also attending courses in cranial osteopathy at present. Additionally, she travels abroad where she teaches at the International College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Italy.
When you book an appointment with Claire the initial appointment will last 45 minutes.
She will take a detailed case history including information about your past medical history and current medications. She will then conduct a thorough examination including getting you to do certain movements and using some medical tests to come to a diagnosis for your current symptoms.
At this time she will discuss the therapeutic approach she may consider beneficial to alleviate your symptoms effectively and get you on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. Treatment approaches may include the use of acupuncture, cupping or strapping along with general Osteopathic techniques if you would like to have that as part of your treatment.
